Professor Adam Scott | Founder and Chairman

Adam Scott White Cloud Foundation

Completed a PhD in Cardiac Medicine in 2003 at Imperial College, London. Returned to Australia in 2003 and took up the Director of Cardiac Sciences role at a Brisbane based hospital. Adam is widely published in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of heart failure, exercise physiology and muscle reflexes. Adam has presented his research at numerous international conferences including the American Heart Association, European College of Sport Science, European Society of Cardiology, British Cardiac Society, World Congress of Cardiology, Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Adam has an Adjunct Professor title with Queensland University of Technology and performs a significant amount of lecturing, course curriculum advice and mentoring. Adam founded the White Cloud Foundation in 2011.

 

Richard Ellem

Richard Ellem White Cloud Foundation

Richard joined Praeger Ellem Solicitors in 1999 in the area of dispute resolution and commercial litigations. In March 2004, Richard was appointed to Partner and continues to maintain his focus on high-end property and commercial litigation while expanding his interests and skills into mediation, negotiation and providing excellent client service.

Richard has worked for several firms in both Australia and abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in psychology from University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology.

 

Chris Staples

Chris BWChris graduated with a Bachelor of Business and is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience finance, accounting, taxation and business consulting, in both the corporate sector and public practice.  Chris has extensive overseas experience living and working in both London and Singapore.  Chris is a partner in accounting and advisory firm Davis & Co.  He is also a Chairman of the Medical Centre Management Group, and holds directorships in a variety of other entities.

 

 

 

Catherine Michael

_DSC7187Catherine Michael created CM ink, a strategic communications and marketing consultancy, after a 20-year career helping iconic brands grow with her practical, creative but disciplined approach.

She provides frank advice, based on experience and insight, to boards, senior management, and marketing and communications leaders in both small to large, public and private companies.

CM Ink is ‘boutique’ in size but not in nous, as the Director, Catherine Michael has held senior and director level in-house roles with the Foster’s Group, Golden Casket Lotteries, The Body Shop, Nintendo, Kmart Australia, Mincom, Triumph International and consulted to 7- Eleven, Paradise Foods, Ernst & Young Qld, Technology One, ENERGEX, merlo coffee, Lady Gowrie, Super Butcher and Telstra.

While Catherine’s career has been varied there is a strong, common theme: enjoying the mix of business, media and the community. Catherine has a Journalism degree from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from RMIT in Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Justin Ribot-de-Bresac

Justin Ribot is a Brisbane-based Company Director and is Entrepreneur in Residence at QUT Graduate Business School.  He is the Chief Executive Officer of Island Gate Pty Ltd, and Vice Chairman of Island Gate’s joint venture entity in China, Managing Director of RDB Group (and associated entities), Executive Advisor and Director of charity The White Cloud Foundation.

 

Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Management), and MBA (Executive), through Queensland University of Technology.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM) and has undertaken the AICD Company Directors Course (MAICD).  Justin has completed a crossing of Bass Strait by kayak and undertaken numerous adventures around the world.
